Monitors workforce participation of minorities and women in: Companies providing goods and services totalling $10,000 or more Companies of 25 or more employees Monitors state and local requirements for all prime construction contractors To subcontract: 10% of the dollar value of each project to minority business enterprises (MBE) 5% of the dollar value of each project to women business enterprises (WBE) To employ when feasible 10% of the workforce minorities; 5% of the workforce women Removes barriers to participation in public contracts for minority and women owned businesses Provides technical and information seminars

Hold three civil service positions
Help resolve over 1900 complaints of discrimination in the community
Provide workshops on human rights, diversity and discrimination for the community
Produce newsletters, pamphlets and public service television shows
Coordinate an annual human rights awards luncheon for 300 attendees
