Each year the Syracuse Nationals becomes an even larger event than the year before. This year, the Syracuse Nationals brought over 78,000 people to the Syracuse area for the largest car event on the east coast. There were over 6,840 vehicle entrants - that's nearly 1,000 more vehicles than last year.
The Syracuse Nationals is an annual three-day event. Participants come from all over the United States and Canada for this weekend event. Staying for the weekend implies that the participants not only support the vendors and concessions on site at the Syracuse Fairgrounds, home of the Syracuse Nationals, but they also support the surrounding local economy.
All around town during the weekend of the Nationals, hotels and motels and booked up, restaurants are at maximum capacity and the streets are exuberant with the flashy colors and roaring sounds of the hot rodders. It is estimated that the Syracuse Nationals brought over $11.2 million into the local economy this year.
The Syracuse Nationals are an exciting summer event that participants from all over the United States and Canada look forward to every year. Until next year!
