"Syracuse on the Upswing as Hot Spot for Families"
Syracuse was lauded by the Boston Sunday Herald as being a "hot spot for families." The Syracuse region was recognized for its eclectic menu of cultural activities for adults, children and families. Among the many museums referenced in the article were: the Artifice Gallery, Dobbs Glassworks, Eureka Crafts, MOST, Erie Canal Museum, Onondaga Historical Association, Salt Museum, Sainte Marie Among the Iroquois, Open Hand Theater's International Mask and Puppet Museum, and The Everson Museum of Art. Armory Square and its hub of diverse shops, restaurants and nightlife was acknowledged as being one of the regional vehicles driving the resurgence of Syracuse.
