The Syracuse Symphony Orchestra will play in New York City's Carnegie Hall on Saturday April 5, 2003. The Carnegie Hall performance will include works from Stravinsky, Tchaikovsky, and Prokofiev lead by Daniel Hege, Syracuse Symphony Orchestra Music Director. Mr. Stanislav Ioudenitch will perform the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Syracuse Symphony. This performance by Ioudenitch is part of the Syracuse Symphony's widespread northeast tour closing with the Carnegie Hall concert.
According to Mary Ann Shaw, Associate to the Chancellor of Syracuse University and Chairperson of the Carnegie Hall Honorary Committee, "The Syracuse Symphony's concert in Carnegie Hall is one of the most exciting events in its recent history, and one in which every Central and Northern New Yorker should take pride."
