"Red, Hot & Blue"
September 08, 2003

The Smithsonian traveling exhibition, "Red, Hot & Blue" will come to Syracuse's Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science and Technology on September 20, 2003.

The exhibition celebrates our country's theatrical history through the use of posters and photographs guided by a pre-recorded narration taking visitors through the history of American musicals.

The exhibition named for Cole Porter's 1936 musical, "Red, Hot & Blue" delineates the history of the American entertainment industry beginning in the nineteenth century to present.

The Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery and National Museum of American History, and the Smithsonian Institute Traveling Exhibition Service designed “Red, Hot & Blue”. Turner Classic Movies has, in part, made this exhibition possible.
