Box Full of Stories
October 08, 2003

SYRACUSE ---Award-winning actress, singer, and songwriter Karen Abercrombie will mesmerize families with tales from her “Box Full of Stories” at Onondaga County Public Library's Mundy Branch on Monday, October 13, at 2:30 p.m.

From her beautifully handcrafted box, Abercrombie pulls multicultural folktales that inspire and educate, as well as tantalize and amaze. Along with music and various props,
her keen vocals and entire body transport listeners on a journey around the world.

A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, Abercrombie has performed in numerous Off-Broadway productions and guest starred on such television shows as Judging Amy, Ally McBeal, Saved By the Bell, and Days of Our Lives.

Abercrombie is currently working on her first children's recording, “Growing Up,” which contains her original children's songs and stories.

Mundy Branch is located at 1204 S. Geddes St. in Syracuse. For more information on this free event, call 435-3797.
