Fayetteville-Manlius High School wins National Science Olympiad Tournament
June 08, 2004

The Fayetteville-Manlius High School Science Olympiad Team Won the National Science Olympiad Tournament by defeating 53 other schools from across the United States.

The 15 member team, coached by Jamie Cucinotta, worked countless hours after school and well into the evening to amass the knowledge necessary to mount a successful competition in subjects such as Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Computer Technology.

The competition required that students not only demonstrate their knowledge of the aforementioned scientific disciplines, but also required the practical application of those subjects by designing, building and operating devices such as robots and rockets.

Onondaga County congratulates the Fayetteville-Manlius High School Olympiad Team and teacher/coach Jamie Cucinotta on their well deserved and hard earned National Championship.
