The mission of the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office Police Department, a county law enforcement organization, is to ensure the safety and well-being of the public by enforcing the various statutes of the State of New York and the municipalities within Onondaga County, providing support and cooperation to other law enforcement agencies, providing for the security of the courts in the Public Safety Building and County Courthouse, and effecting offender growth and development leading to law-abiding citizenship.
