This unit is comprised of nine detectives, along with the Drug Enforcement Task Force, and is primarily responsible for organized crime and vice investigations (including drugs, prostitution, and gambling). Their duties include initiating and assisting with initial on-scene investigations. In addition, they successfully infiltrate organized crime and vice activities through the use of undercover operations.

Two detectives are assigned to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and are responsible for investigations on the national and international level.
