The detectives in this unit process, maintain, and execute all criminal and family court warrants (including arrest, bench, probation, and indictment warrants) and criminal summons. 

They are responsible for:

• Coordinating the extradition of wanted persons from outside Onondaga County
• Maintaining an "on-call" availability when off-duty for extradition
• Conducting "overnight arraignments" for patrol between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
• Providing surveillance assistance to the other units within the Criminal Investigation Division
• Compile and post the annual Onondaga County's Top Ten Most Wanted list
• Participate in the Central New York Fugitive Task Force.
