Aggressive Driving
To coordinate and implement effective, multi-agency enforcement and educational efforts, such as Operation Eagle Eye, Operation Safe Stop, and policing the Syracuse Nationals event, in order to deter acts of road rage and anger behind the wheel.

To plan and execute an annual awards event.  This Committee is also responsible for sustaining active OCSTAB members and stakeholders through rewarding them publicly for their commitment to the organization via standing awards and certificates of appreciate.

Propose modifications or amendments to the OCTSAB Constitution.

Grants Committee
To receive, consider, evaluate and make recommendations regarding all grant proposals that are submitted for review and/or action by the Board.

To recommend potential new members for appointment by the Onondaga County Executive.

Pedestrian/Bicycle Safety

To coordinate and implement effective educational and enforcement strategies to ensure all motorists and their passengers are buckled up, thereby reducing injuries and deaths related to unbuckled motor vehicle operation.

 

To develop and distribute educational materials related to pedestrian and bicycle safety in Onondaga County.  In addition, this Committee will be responsible for coordinating events during Spring Into Pedestrian Safety Week and Bicycle Safety Month.

Project Planning Committee
The function of this Committee will be to initiate and/or review projects and programs and to continue existing programs.  The Committee will focus its efforts on organizing and supporting the implementation of such programs as the Lights On Caravan and Traffic Safety Fair.

Teen Driver Issues

To address the issues of drivers between the ages of 16-24 years old.  Work in conjunction

with NYS DMV Office of Younger Driver.
