Description
Earth Blends' N-Viro Soil is made from dewatered sewage
sludge, kiln dust, and lime. These ingredients are
blended together in a patented pasteurization Process
to Further Reduce Pathogens (PFRP), as required by USEPA
and NYSDEC, prior to public distribution. Use of the
product is regulated comparably to Class I Compost in
New York State as follows:
-
Can be distributed for use by the public, used
on food chain crops and other agricultural or
horticultural uses
-
Must not be used on crops grown for direct human
consumption, for example, crops consumed by humans
without processing.
N-Viro Soil is not sludge; it is a pasteurized sludge
product. Pathogenic bacteria are destroyed in a
patented energy conserving process so this valuable
resource can be safety recycled.

Application rate based on crop nitrogen requirement
|
Application rates are based on lime requirements, then
crop nitrogen needs. It is recommended that spreading
be done at the lower rate. For optimum crop yields,
supplement with other fertilizers only if necessary.
Use of this product in a manner inconsistent with this
label is prohibited. Contact your Earth Blends
representative for more information.
Accumulation of heavy metals over time:
The concentration of heavy metals in fertilizers and
sludge products applied to soil can only increase in
proportion to the amount that the nutrients dissolve
or the organic fraction mineralizes. N-Viro Soil can be
used indefinitely without exceeding safe soil
concentrations.
