Preserve Your Assets, Lifestyle & Independence!
With increasing life expectancy, changes to the laws governing the application of individual’s assets to their care, and a rapidly growing senior population expected to double in the next 25 years to over 70 million. The need to gather information, and plan for the potential need for long term care services has become a priority. This is why New York State gave each county a grant to establish a Long Term Care Insurance Education & Outreach Program (LTCIEOP), and as a result Onondaga County, and the Department of Aging and Youth established the Long Term Care Insurance Resource Center. A place to gather free and unbiased information on the options of how to pay the potentially high cost of long term care services.
All information and resources are available via this website and through the Long Term Care Resource Center located in the Civic Center - 13th floor, 421 Montgomery Street, Syracuse, NY 13202 or by calling 435-2362. Individual counseling and group presentations are available.
Note: Neither New York State nor Onondaga County endorses or recommends any specific insurance product or insurer; this program is solely intended to educate consumers about their choices.
