What we do:
We are responsible for the determination of eligibility and assisting in the administration of both employee and retiree health plans, dental, prescription drug, vision, flexible spending, and long term disability programs.

News and Announcements:
The 2020 Open Enrollment period is scheduled from November 1 – November 21, 2020. The annual Open Enrollment period is the only time during the year (without a Qualifying Event) in which you have the opportunity to enroll in benefits, make changes to your medical and/or dental plans, flexible spending accounts and long term disability coverage. All changes made during the Open Enrollment period will be effective January 1, 2021. Please note that all paperwork must be received by either your payroll clerk or the EB office no later than November 21, 2020. If you take no action, health and/or dental insurance will remain the same as in 2020, however; you MUST re-enroll in Flexible spending health, dependent care and parking in order to utilize these benefits in 2021.

Open Enrollment will look a little different this year. Although we will still have flu clinics (details TBD), it is not possible to have our normal face to face benefit fairs this fall. Instead, Onondaga County Employee Benefits and our vendors will be bringing our resources together in one place at your fingertips. Check back here closer to November for a link to our new Virtual Open Enrollment pages!
