PLEASE NOTE: The change of enrollment process has been amended by Chapter 316 of Laws of New York, 2019. Any change of enrollment filed and received in the Board of Elections up until February 14, 2021 will take effect immediately.
The qualifications for voting in New York State are as follows:
• Be a U. S. citizen
• Be 18 years old by the end of this year.
• Live at your present address at least 30 days before an election
• Not be in prison or on parole for a felony conviction unless parole pardoned or restored rights of citizenship
• Not claim the right to vote elsewhere

IN PERSON REGISTRATION
Friday, October 9, 2020
Last day to register at your local Board of Elections, to be eligible to vote in the
General Election. If honorably discharged from the military or have become a naturalized citizen since October 10th you may register in person at the board of elections up until October 24th. §§5-210, 5-211, 5-212
CHANGE OF ADDRESS
Wednesday, October 14, 2020
Last day to register in person at the Board of Elections, if you are a registered voter who has moved within New York State after October 9th. §5-208(3)
