The Onondaga County Citizen Corps Council was formed in August 2004 and includes many community organizations. Any agency or organization that would like to become affiliated with the Citizen Corps should contact the Department of Emergency Management.
To organize, educate and train citizens in volunteer service in order to make the community safer, stronger and better prepared to respond to community emergencies: public health and safety issues, threats of terrorism and disasters of all kinds.
