The Onondaga County Health Department is currently accepting applications for the position of:

Public Health Educator – Maternal and Child Health

Location: 421 Montgomery Street, Syracuse, NY

Salary: $50,261

Hours of work: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

If you have a passion for serving your community and would like to spend your work time supporting and educating families to have healthy pregnancies and healthy children, Healthy Families, a program of the Onondaga County Health Department (OCHD) has a full-time opening for a Public Health Educator.

Activities include supporting partnerships in the community; organizing or working with community groups and directing educational efforts; assisting in the planning and directing of workshops, in-services, forums and focus groups; developing new materials in all media forms to disseminate health information; and preparing and delivering health education programs to community groups.

Minimum Qualifications:

Preferred: Two years work experience in Health Education.
