The mission of the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office Custody Department, a County correctional law enforcement organization, is to provide public safety for the citizens of Onondaga County by delivering the highest quality and most cost-effective prisoner custody, security, and transportation services available.

Our vision is to maintain the confidence that the public has placed upon us by developing a safer and more secure community through supplying high quality, cost-effective correctional law enforcement services aimed at having a positive impact on our community and on the persons we detain while maintaining a safe, secure, and humane environment at the Onondaga County Justice Center.
