STATUS RFP# TITLE Additional Documentation PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING

PROJECTED TIMING/

DEADLINE

Planned   Comprehensive Engineering Evaluation
  Q2 2022

The scope of this project is part of the "Comprehensive Asset Renewal at Wetzel Road Wastewater Treatment Plant" project and includes engineering study/evaluation to look at the BAF for media replacement as well as concrete repairs in the primary clarifier area. It also includes engineering evaluations of the effluent water system, intermediate pump station, outfall, thickener covers, valves in the CMDF and Primary Clarifier area, and plant drain system.

Planned   Drum Thickener Replacement     Q2 2022

The above funds will be used for the engineering design to replace the rotary drum thickeners at Meadowbrook Limestone and Brewerton Wastewater Treatment Plants. The rotary drum thickeners at both facilities are more than 20 years old, exceeding the useful life of the equipment evident by periods of increased maintenance. In the case of Meadowbrook Limestone, the thickened sludge holding tanks that are feed by the rotary drum thickeners, have contributed to historic, and increased recent odor complaints by adjacent residents.

Planned   Large-Scale Upgrade, Preliminary Engineering     Q2 2022

The first phase of his project will produce the engineering evaluations and reports mandated in a Consent Order issued in April 2020. Subsequent phases will consider a potential large-scale upgrade of the Meadowbrook-Limestone WWTP to provide additional treatment plant capacity to support compliance with WWTP’s NYSDEC SPDES permit and NYSDEC Compliance Order.

Planned   SCADA Connectivity Improvements: Metro, BSK, Oak Orchard     Q2 2022

The scope of this project is part of the “Department-Wide Mechanical, Electrical & Process Improvements” project and includes engineering study/evaluation for replacement of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) in the above WWTPs.

Planned   Tertiary MCC Spectra ECM Replacement     Q2 2022

The scope of this project includes engineering and construction phase engineering services related to decommissioning and replacement of existing GE Spectra Electronic Control Modules (ECM) within several Tertiary Treatment Facility MCC’s. These systems provide fault/overload protection for equipment and communication with plant SCADA and are unreliable and not supported by the OEM manufacturer.

Planned   Paving Surface Reconfiguration (Henry Clay Blvd.) and Paving Repairs (BSK WWTP)     Q2 2022

The scope of this project includes engineering design services for reconfiguration of existing parking lot at WEP’s Henry Clay Maintenance Facility and paving repairs at the Brewerton WWTP.

Planned   Drainage (Stormwater) Improvements     Q2 2022

The scope of this project includes engineering and construction phase engineering services related to stormwater drainage improvements at METRO WWTP and Baldwinsville-Seneca Knolls WWTP.

Planned   Pump Station Upgrades in Meadowbrook Limestone Service Area     Q2 2022

The scope of this project includes engineering and construction phase engineering services related to upgrades and improvements to several town-owned pump stations recently acquired through lease agreements as part of WEP’s Sewer Consolidation efforts.  Anticipated improvements include replacement of pumps, piping, valves and appurtenances, rehabilitation to antiquated concrete structures, and electrical and communications upgrades.

Planned   East Side Interceptor Sewer Replacement     Q2 2022

The scope of this project includes engineering and construction phase engineering related to the replacement and size increase of the East Side Interceptor Sewer from Brighton Avenue to its connection to the Main Interceptor Sewer to provide additional stormwater and CSO storage and conveyance capacity.

Closed 22-3300-002 Aeration System Improvements
The scope of this project is part of the “Comprehensive Asset Renewal at Meadowbrook Limestone Wastewater Treatment Plant” project and includes engineering study/evaluation to look at replacement of aeration blowers and associated piping and appurtenances.
Closed Physical Asset Visualization Services

The scope of this project is part of the “Department-Wide Mechanical, Electrical & Process Improvements” project. This is a pilot project for the development of a panoramic photogrammetric model of two specific pilot facilities. The product shall provide a detailed panoramic photogrammetric model of the interior and exterior of the facilities that also digitally integrates into the County’s existing asset management system (Maximo) and other digital assets the County maintains. The product shall be capable of running on any standard commercial web browser platform and not require the County to purchase or subscribe to any software products for functionality. This pilot project will test the value added by the visualization component and if this value is enough to justify the extension of this service to all facilities we will continue with more phases of this project until all our assets are covered.
