Supporting our schools is essential to ensuring the well-being of children and their families in our community. The School-Based Initiatives division partners with school districts to integrate community supports and services into the school setting to address the social, economic, health and emotional/behavioral challenges that may get in the way of a child's success.
Our Vision is to partner with schools in Onondaga County to:
- Prevent emotional/behavioral challenges and intervene early
- Promote positive behavioral supports for children in our schools
- Deliver effective targeted interventions that match students' needs
- Maximize knowledge, resources and supports for children and families through collaborative efforts
- Utilize practices that are proven to be effective (Evidence Based Practices)
