Will my driveway or property access be affected?
Yes, but only within a County-owned easement on certain properties. There will also be construction activity on the access road between 226 and 228 Woodmont Drive. The contractor will ensure safe access to driveways and streets is maintained throughout the project.
Will I need to limit water usage?
No, there is no need for residents to reduce water usage during the project.
How will my property be restored after construction?
All disturbed areas, including lawns and driveways, will be restored to pre-construction conditions or better. Final restoration may occur after initial utility installation is complete and weather permits.
What if construction damages something on my property?
The County’s contractor is responsible for any damage caused by construction. A field inspector will be available to document and resolve complaints.
Will the temporary bypass piping adjacent to Erie Canal Park be above-ground or buried, possibly affecting canal stability?
The bypass piping located along the southern bank of the Old Erie Canal will be laid on the surface (not buried) and supported by cradles to prevent it from sliding into the canal or experiencing undue movement.
Contact WEP with any further questions or concerns during construction.
