Lead Inspections

If you rent an older home or apartment, are pregnant, or have children under age seven living with you, you may be eligible for a FREE lead inspection.

During an inspection, we will test chipping and peeling paint for lead. We will also teach you how to protect yourself and your children from being exposed to lead.

If lead paint/dust is found, a letter is sent to the property owner. All work done on the home must follow lead-safe work practices. After the work is done, the inspector will take "dust wipe" samples and send them to a lab to make sure the home is lead-safe.
