Lead Inspections

If you live in a rental house built before 1960 and are pregnant or have children under age 7 who live with you or visit regularly, you may be eligible for a FREE lead inspection.

During an inspection, we will test to see if there is lead paint or lead dust in the home that could cause lead poisoning. We will also teach you about lead poisoning and how to protect yourself and your children from lead poisoning.

If lead paint/dust is found, we will send a letter to the property owner to tell them that repairs must be made by a specific date. All work done on the home must follow lead-safe work practices. After the work is done, the inspector will take "dust wipe" samples and send them to a lab to make sure the home is lead-safe.

To see if you are eligible for a FREE lead inspection, call us at 435-3271.
