Onondaga County War Memorial

 

The Onondaga County Veterans Council has been selected by the Onondaga County Executive's Veterans Advisory Board to be the 501(c)3 Organization in charge of distributing the funds from the newly formed Friends of the Onondaga County War Memorial. These funds are available to Veterans and Veterans organizations that have a specific need for an event or an item. Please click here for a Request for Funding Form.

Monies are distributed to the Friends of the Onondaga County War Memorial, yearly, by the Syracuse Crunch. If you, or your group, would like to donate please contact Mike LaNasa at (315) 427-3165

 

This video shows the work of the Onondaga County Executive Veterans Advisory Council and its subcommittee in charge of rolling out the Onondaga County War Memorial Renovations. There's more work to be done and the video informs viewers how to send in their ideas.

Veterans Meetings/Events at the War Memorial

If you are a Veterans organization and would like to have a meeting in the All Who Served Club in Assembly Hall (3rd Floor) or an event in Memorial Hall, please contact the Onondaga County Veterans Service Agency at 315-435-3202 to arrange. There is no charge for the All Who Served Club unless special accomodations are required. Outside food/drink is not allowed. Please call with any questions. A price quote, if needed, will be provided.

 

Veterans Parking

Veterans who are meeting with the Veterans Service Agency (VSA) can park for free in the OnCenter Parking Garage (State Street.) Take a white ticket and after your meeting ask the Veterans Service Officer for a parking pass. Present the white ticket and parking pass when exiting the OnCenter Parking Garage.

 

Veterans groups who are using the War Memorial for meetings/events must request the number of parking passes they require at the time they book the venue.
