Community Services Board (CSB)
James A. Yonai, Ph.D-Board Chair

Established in accordance with the New York State Mental Hygiene Law, the mission of theMental Health Community Services Board (CSB) is to represent Onondaga County in the process of planning, creating, implementing, and monitoring a comprehensive integrated system of community mental hygiene services - including those relevant to mental health (OMH), developmental/intellectual disabilities (OPWDD), and alcohol/substance abuse (OASAS) for all county residents.

The CSB assists in the analysis of program and fiscal issues to determine: if there are unmet/under met needs in the community, if a program/service is providing a high quality of care and if public and private resources are being effectively utilized.  This oversight results in a more coordinated and accessible system which encourages local accountability
