Social Security Transition (SST) |
Unit's Hours: M-F, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
The Social Security Transition Unit (SST) assists applicants and recipients of Temporary Assistance, who have been prescreened by their TA Employment Counselor, apply for Social Security Insurance (SSI) and Social Security Disability (SSD). This unit helps such applicants and recipients in filling out applications, obtaining necessary medical documentation, and works closely with outside attorney's to appeal adverse decisions.
